Seasons Greetings from the Mills Rentals Team! We hope everyone had a great break over Thanksgiving and that you’re looking forward to the upcoming holiday season. We’ve got lots of cool things in store for you this month. Read on to check it out:

MR Ornament Contest
We want you guys (our amazing and artistic tenants!) to help us decorate our tree this year!
We’re starting to decorate our office for the holidays, and we noticed we don’t have anything awesome to put on our tree, so we thought we would ask you for help. In fact, we’d love to trade you a crisp $100 bill for the best darn homemade ornament in Chapel Hill.
Here’s the deal:

  • Make us a Mills Rentals themed ornament before December 12th and post a picture of it on Facebook with a link to our page
  • Drop off the ornament at our office, and on the 12th we’ll announce the winner
  • Come pick up your winnings and spend Christmas break with Ben Franklin in your back pocket 


Also: Don’t forget we do a monthly drawing for $25 for anyone who “shares” our property listings on Facebook.

Holiday Reminders
If you’re planning on going out of town for a while, take a second to review the pro-tips we sent out last month.
Some highlights you should double check on:
  • Keep your heat set around 55 degrees rather than turning it off – it should save your pipes from freezing!
  • Double check that your doors and windows are locked
  • Keep a light on or lights on a timer so no one can tell you’re not home. 

Christmas Party!!
We’re having a Christmas Party Potluck and we’d love for you and your favorite dishes to come join us!
The Mills Rentals Team is throwing a holiday party extravaganza at our office (120 Purefoy Rd) on December 17th at 6PM. It’s a potluck, so don’t forget to break out your favorite holiday recipes, dress up in your favorite holiday sweater, and come hang out with your favorite landlords! We hope to see you all there, we’ll be having a great time and we’d love for you to join us.
Better Living Tips from M.R.:
+ When stressing over presents for everyone on your list, remember that people tend to value experiences more than material items. Concert tickets, camping trips, and cooking classes can be cooler, cost effective alternatives that people remember for a lifetime. 

+ Is your toilet always running or your sink dripping, but you assume it’s not that big of a deal? Let us know! Even small water issues can be driving up your bill and increasing your water consumption.

+ Go see LightWorks at the Local 506 on January 2nd. Guaranteed to be a great show!
